Pioneers Medical Center (PMC) is pleased to announce that orthopedic spine surgery resumed October 1, 2026, at Colorado Advanced Orthopedics (CAO), with Dr. Alex Sielatycki. With spine clinic appointments continuing throughout the surgical pause, the return of surgery allows patients to access both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options close to home.
“Access to specialized care makes a meaningful difference for patients and families in our rural communities,” said Steve Hannah, CEO of Pioneers Medical Center. “We’re pleased to welcome back orthopedic spine surgery and we are grateful for Dr. Sielatycki and the entire team’s continued dedication to serving our region.”
Preparations for the program’s return included a coordinated operational and quality checklist, staff education, and strengthened relationships with tertiary hospitals that provide advanced specialty care. This work supports collaboration across PMC’s surgical service lines and coordination when patients need additional resources.
“Spine care is not one-size-fits-all. Every patient comes to us with different needs and goals; our job is to help them understand their options and choose the path that’s right for them,” said Dr. Sielatycki. I’m proud to continue surgical spine care at Colorado Advanced Orthopedics, and I’m grateful to work with such a dedicated team to give our community personalized, expert care close to home.”
PMC thanks the staff and hospital partners who supported the program’s return and Dr. Sielatycki for his continued commitment to patients in Meeker and the surrounding communities.
