As a courtesy, our team will assist you with all insurance matters related to your treatment. As long as you provide complete and accurate information at the time of your treatment, we’ll bill your insurance directly. We encourage you to communicate directly with your insurance carrier throughout the process to ensure your claim has been paid. Keep in mind that all co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles established by your insurance plan are due at the time of your appointment.

Colorado Advanced Orthopedics offers a variety of self-pay options for individuals without medical insurance. We’ll always do our best to work with you if you don’t have insurance or if you still carry a balance on your bill after insurance has paid their share. One of our financial counselors can help you set up a payment plan or, when eligible, apply for financial assistance. We are also sometimes able to provide financial assistance (charity care) for patients who meet specific criteria.
You can review our Patient Financial Assistance Policy for more details. It’s available in English and Spanish (Programa de Asistencia Financiera en Espanol).
We offer the following payment programs:
If you haven’t set up a payment plan and your bill isn’t paid in full within 120 days of your first billing statement (after your insurance claim has been settled), your account may be sent to A-1 Collection Agency. While A-1 Collection Agency doesn’t report to the major credit bureaus, the collections process is still a hassle for everyone involved. We encourage you to work directly with us to avoid having the collection agency get involved with your account.
If you have any questions about your bill or believe there is an error on it, please contact our Patient Financial Services Department:
