Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
Dr. Clinton Devin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in all conditions related to the spine. Prior to joining the Colorado Advanced Orthopedics team, he spent over a decade as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and served as the head of spine trauma at the university’s hospital.
During his career, Dr. Devin has performed over 5,500 spine surgeries, caring for all levels of spine injury complexity. His philosophy of care is to provide the least invasive treatment possible that will be durable and allow patients to return to their passions in life. He grew up in Laramie, Wyoming and understands his patients’ desire to enjoy the outdoors with full mobility and without limitations from pain.

In addition, Dr. Devin has built a database at Steamboat Orthopaedics & Spine Institute modeled after the American Spine Registry, for which Dr. Devin sits on the board. He compares the numbers in the SOSI database to national benchmarks in order to use real data to show his patients the types of outcomes they can expect.
In his free time, Dr. Devin enjoys spending time with his family. His wife, Jessica, is an endocrinologist who also practices in Steamboat. They raise two very active boys that enjoy hockey, skiing and being outdoors.
